You Already Know: Ship of Theseus

You Already Know presents Ship of Theseus, a new show taking inspiration from their existing form and the philosophical thought experiment of the same name. YAK performs an original form called The Telerondescene, a loose combination of the La Ronde, Monoscene, and the childhood game of Telephone. The form involves 12 individuals swapping out roughly every two minutes of the show. The catch? If you aren’t onstage, you aren’t in the room. The result is an outlandish, continuous 2-person monoscene presented by a much larger number of improvisers who have no idea what happened before they got onstage.

With Ship of Theseus, YAK is Telerondescening the Telerondescene, and asking two members of the team to voluntarily resign and select their replacement for the next show, until the entire team has been replaced. Why don’t you come and decide: is YAK still YAK?
