Qualifications:
– Open to artists 21 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, MO region
Entry Fee:
– When accepted, there will be a $10 fee to cover installation costs
– Fee payable by credit card, check, PayPal, Venmo or Cash App
Sales:
– All artworks must either have a sale price or be marked Not for Sale (NFS)
– All sales are handled by the artist
– Artist will receive 100% of sale
– Artist responsible for delivery of sold work to buyer at end of residency
Requirements:
– No ceiling installed works, this includes installation works
– No artwork that sits directly on floor
– 2D works must be framed
– Works on canvas may be gallery-wrapped or framed; no unstretched canvas
– All artworks must have a wire on back installed by artist for hanging
– Wall-installed works must use standard picture hanging hardware
– The Improv Shop uses traditional hardware (hooks/nails) for wall mounting
– Artworks must remain at The Improv Shop for the month of the residency
Delivery & Pick-Up:
– Artworks selected into exhibit are to be hand-delivered to The Improv Shop
– Artworks must be ready to install
– Artists will receive an email from Carrie Sleme regarding drop off/pick up times
